Designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim kept their showgoers in suspense for almost an hour past the show’s start time before finally opening Pier 90’s gates. Then, blast off! A swarm of trendy editors, celebrities and photographers flooded the venue, abandoning their complimentary beers and peanuts. Crash landing on Mars, the crowd watched as spherical white lanterns flickered and inflatable space ships lifted off a bold orange runway.
