WUNZ is a new streetwear brand founded by award-winning filmmaker and producer Genevieve Anderson to empower women into action.
Through a partnership with the Los Angeles Mission, WUNZ donates Food Boxes, Hygiene Kits and Meals with the purchase of each item. The core offering, a high-fashion super versatile and comfortable jumpsuit, was first created by Anderson for herself when she was going through a difficult time personally. She states, “I needed to create something with my hands that signified the change I was going through, and the person I needed to become. I was literally creating a new skin. I realized that this jumpsuit could be a playful and powerful vehicle for others both individually, as well as a symbol of the change we are making in the world around us.”
The Supersuit, named as such for the tiny red cape on the back – you read that right, a TINY RED CAPE – reminds us to embody our superhero powers and take action to help solve the real-world challenge of homelessness. WUNZ not only sells the jumpsuit, but also a high-design hoodie ($155), the super soft “U Words” T-shirt ($66), as well as notebooks ($15) and pens ($12), because WUNZ is committed to re-writing the narrative on homelessness. With the purchase of each item, WUNZ donates the equivalent of a Food Box (with $100 worth of items), a Hygiene Kit or a Meal. Read more about how WUNZ gives back at: www.shopwunz.com.
“WUNZ is extremely passionate about providing the very basic resources to people experiencing homelessness through the amazing work of the Los Angeles Mission,” said Anderson.
“We’re looking forward to this partnership because it will provide an exciting outlet to the community – one which benefits our goals and dedication to all underserved communities in Los Angeles” said Pastor Troy Vaughn, CEO of Los Angeles Mission.
