Red Carpet Conference brought hundreds of industry innovators together on the final day of February’s New York Fashion Week
NEW YORK, NY– FASHINNOVATION, a platform where fashion and technology connect with a mission to inspire and share knowledge in the fashion, entrepreneurship and technology sectors, hosted the second edition of its semi-annual conference on February 13, 2019, hosted by Serial Entrepreneur – Diandra Barnwell – with official partner sponsor: Runway Moda. The all-day red carpet event took place during NYFW at one of the city’s premiere venues, Tribeca Rooftop, which featured panels (50+ speakers), live performances, fashion installations, innovative displays (20+ including KROMAGNON+Makishi Apparel), and the launch of a book titled: It Can Be Youby The NYLON Project with the aim to “Humanize Homelessness”.
Panel topics included fashion tech innovations, innovative Supply Chain, design/creative, the latest innovations in textiles, innovation in retail, customization, sustainability, augmented reality and more. Other discussions focused on women empowerment, celebrities/influencers in fashion, e-commerce and entrepreneurship. The conference showcased a fashion installation by Constanza+LAB(Spain) and 19-year-old IMI by Imogen Evans, a mid-day cocktail hour and networking event, pop-up displays, a red carpet step-and-repeat, a special live performance by DeeMo, and an after-party by TROY. NYLON Project’s book, It Can Be You, which includes 50 stories of homelessness from influencers around the world, including Melissa Molinaro, Claudia Salinas, Madeline Stuart, Eric Bigger, Thania Peck, Josh Heffler, and Jessica Ross, to name a few, was launched at the event and a special panel on “Humanizing Homelessness” took place with Veronika Scott, Founder, Empowerment Plan, Jason Naylor, Creative Director/Artist, DeeMo, Singer/Actor/Philanthropist and Nadya Rousseau, Founder, Alter New Media – moderated by Jordana Guimaraes, Co-Founder of FASHINNOVATION & Founder/Author,The NYLON Project.
