The magnitude of the venue set the tone for the Naersi S/S 2018 Fashion Show. Inside the American Natural History Museum underneath the Blue Whale, an update on structure was seen in combination with intricate and feminine details.
Naersi was careful to create flattering shapes by belting, cinching and drawing in the waist. From simple block leather belts to statement-worthy ruffle corsets, the collection celebrated a woman’s figure in its interpretation of updated menswear. Also noted were new shapes and lengths of pants, skirts and dresses.
The simplicity in color palletes and silhouettes were given diversity with exaggerated shapes and fabrics. Everything from silk to suede to vinyl graced this runway, with statement shoes and bags.
Makeup for this runway had a little bit of edge to it. Eyes were lined and smoked out. The face was contoured with a glowy, dewy highlight. The brows were defined and shaped, and the lips were left very natural. Hair was down but slicked back on the sides and teased volume in the middle. The exciting location and look left a great memory in our minds at Naersi SS18.
